Social Media Managers Responsibilities

    Develop a comprehensive social media strategy to increase engagement, followership, and brand awareness.
    Create compelling and relevant content for various social media channels, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
    Monitor social media trends, tools, and applications and appropriately apply that knowledge to increase social media use at Climate Action Africa.
    Manage all social media channels, including scheduling and publishing content, responding to comments and messages, and moderating discussions.
    Collaborate with other teams to align social media strategies with overall organisational goals and campaigns. Social Media Managers
    Analyse social media metrics and performance data to track progress, optimise content, and identify areas for improvement.
    Stay up-to-date with the latest social media best practices, algorithms, and trends, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

Required Profile

    Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
    Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role, with a track record of successful social media campaigns and initiatives.
    Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling and engaging content.

    Creative thinker with a passion for environmental sustainability and climate action.
    Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    Strong analytical skills and proficiency in social media analytics tools.
    Experience with graphic design and video editing tools is a plus.
    Familiarity with SEO principles and website analytics tools.

    The interview process is expected to take three weeks and will be conducted virtually, with an average time commitment of 1.5 hours.

Working Hours:

    The standard working hours for this position are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm West Africa Time (WAT), for at least 40 hours per week.
