I4G HACKFest 2023 is set to host a virtual Hackathon in collaboration with FCMB, offering an ideal opportunity to extend beyond the traditional boundaries of banking and harness FCMB APIs to advance Open Banking Initiatives. The event will span over 50 hours, during which tech enthusiasts from Africa will join forces to collaboratively create prototypes and minimum viable products (MVPs) in a virtual environment.
The I4G Hackathon, presented by Ingressive For Good in partnership with FCMB, assembles a diverse range of tech professionals from across Africa, including developers, engineers, students, designers, and creative thinkers. Their collective aim is to drive sustainable innovations and develop solutions for real-world business challenges and societal issues. The Hackathon will run continuously for more than 50 hours, enabling African tech enthusiasts to work together on proofs of concept and MVPs designed to address specific predefined problems.
About Ingressive For Good (14G)
Ingressive For Good (I4G) is dedicated to providing tech skills to underprivileged young Africans, empowering them to make a positive social and economic impact on Africa’s development. The creation of Ingressive For Good (I4G) stemmed from a mission to rectify the evident disparities within African tech ecosystems. We grant partial scholarships to financially disadvantaged, final year tech students, facilitating their access to the top educational institutions in Africa and equipping them with the necessary tools, including laptops, to enhance their learning experience.

Interview Schedule, Process, and Venue for the I4G FCMB Hackathon
This year’s Hackathon will take place virtually from October 27th to October 29th. To facilitate seamless collaboration among participants, facilitators, and mentors, a combination of various tools will be employed. Additionally, a series of orientation sessions will be conducted to ensure that all stakeholders are well-versed in the tools and adequately prepared for a smooth and productive event.
