Greenpeg Technical Trainee Programme 2.0 is designed to give HND graduates a practical foundation for early careers in industrial engineering and technical sales. Participants learn through a combination of classroom fundamentals, structured workplace learning, mentorship from experienced professionals, project deliverables and exposure to live industrial environments.

Engineering trainees receive practical exposure across design, installation, testing and commissioning. Sales trainees develop experience in product selection, specification matching, quotation preparation, customer engagement, order coordination and business development.

The programme covers projects and activities connected to the oil and gas, food and beverage, and FMCG sectors. It also provides a pathway towards a full-time role at Greenpeg; however, participation in the trainee programme does not guarantee a full-time appointment.

1. Graduate Mechanical / Piping Engineer

This role supports mechanical and piping design, technical documentation and site execution activities.

  • Support equipment design and piping layout development.
  • Assist with technical drawings, isometrics and specifications.
  • Participate in installation and modification activities at project sites.
  • Learn engineering standards, drawing packages and material take-offs.
  • Contribute to as-built documentation and site reports.

2. Graduate Process Engineer

This role focuses on process calculations, equipment sizing, process documentation and technical reviews.

  • Assist with process calculations and mass and energy balances.
  • Support equipment sizing for pumps, heat exchangers and vessels.
  • Contribute to Process Flow Diagrams and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams.

  • Hold an HND in an engineering discipline relevant to the selected role.
  • Have a strong understanding of relevant engineering fundamentals.
  • Show interest in engineering design, calculations, technical drawings and modelling.
  • Be willing to work at project sites across Nigeria, including offshore locations when required.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or other relevant engineering software is an advantage.

Additional Requirements For Sales Roles

  • Hold an HND in Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and a genuine interest in technical sales.
  • Be willing to learn product applications and prepare quotations.
  • Be willing to work towards sales targets.
  • External Sales Engineer applicants must be comfortable with travel and client-site visits.
