Turkey Government Scholarship Details
The Türkiye Scholarships program offers both scholarship funding and university placement simultaneously, unlike many other international scholarship programs.
- Applicants are placed in a university and academic program based on their preferences selected during the online application.
- Candidates may apply to only one scholarship category, aligned with their academic background and future goals.
Eligibility Requirements for Türkiye Scholarships 2026
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be a citizen of a country other than Turkey
(Applicants who currently hold or have ever held Turkish citizenship are not eligible) - Not be currently enrolled in a Turkish university at the same level of study being applied for
- Meet the age requirements:
- Associate & Bachelor’s degree: Under 21 years
- Master’s degree: Under 30 years
- PhD: Under 35 years
- Research Scholarship: Under 50 years
- Have no health condition that may hinder education
- Achieve a minimum of 75% academic success, either:
- Cumulative GPA / diploma grade, or
- National or international admission exam score (where applicable)
Ineligible Applicants
The following groups are not eligible to apply:
- Turkish citizens or individuals who previously held Turkish citizenship
- Applicants already enrolled in Turkish universities at the same level of education
