Description:
The New Wave Lab in the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at Trinity College Dublin invites applications for a PhD student and two Postdoctoral Researcher positions. The successful candidates will join Dr. Farhang’s team on research projects that are focused on the following areas.
* Waveform design for integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) in extremely large MIMO systems with continuous-aperture
* Advanced multi-dimensional signal processing algorithms for transceivers to improve sensing accuracy and communication efficiency
* Analysis and solutions to synchronization errors, RF impairments, and multi-user interference on multidimensional waveforms, e.g., delay-Doppler multiplexing techniques in both single antenna and multiple antenna systems
* Multiuser massive MIMO systems and in dynamic wireless environments
* Development of low-complexity, low-overhead channel estimation and equalization techniques tailored for CAP-MIMO systems with ISAC capabilities that are operating in time-varying scenarios.
* Design novel methods to secure reliable downlink connections by leveraging updated channel information from uplink transmission, specifically addressing challenges posed by channel aging.
Interested candidates are invited to submit the following documents in a single PDF file to arman.farhang@tcd.ie by the 10th of December 2025.
1. Cover letter
2. CV
3. Contact information for 2 academic referees
