Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Immigration Status:
Applicants must hold one of the following UK immigration statuses:- Asylum Seeker
- Refugee Status
- Humanitarian Protection
- Limited Leave to Remain on Grounds of Protection
- Leave under a Resettlement Scheme (UK Resettlement Scheme, Afghan Citizens Resettlement Scheme, Syrian Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Scheme, Ukraine Sponsorship Scheme, etc.)
- A dependant of any of the above status groups
- Level of Education:
Applicants must meet the academic entry requirements for their chosen degree programme, which may include undergraduate, postgraduate Master’s, or PhD degrees. - Diversity and Equity:
The scholarship prioritizes diversity and aims for a balanced programme with diverse genders, nationalities, and UK immigration statuses. Priority is given to applicants who can demonstrate they will benefit from the programme’s enhanced support. - Location:
Applicants must reside in the UK at the time of their application and be prepared to relocate to Edinburgh (or a commutable distance). A commutable distance is defined as within 60 miles of the University of Edinburgh.
Eligible Programmes
The scholarship covers eligible in-person, full-time, taught Master’s programmes at the University of Edinburgh. The programmes span across three colleges:
- The College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS)
- The College of Science & Engineering (CSE)
- The College of Medicine & Veterinary Medicine (CMVM)
