Co-funded Monash Graduate Scholarships are provided by Monash University to support students undertaking Research Doctorate and Research Masters degrees.
These scholarships are co-funded by Monash University and the enrolling faculty/academic unit and are available to help support students with living costs while studying at Monash.
Centrally managed scholarships for Australian campuses are awarded through a highly competitive selection process in which your academic record, research output and research experience are assessed.

Criteria
be one of the following:
- An Australian citizen
- A New Zealand citizen
- Australian permanent resident
- Australian humanitarian visa holder
- An International student
- meet Monash’s competitive scholarship selection process requirements and
- meet Monash’s English language proficiency requirements.
The CF-MGS Provides:
- a living allowance ($37,145 stipend annually or $1,423.18 fortnightly), and
- a relocation allowance, if eligible ($1,000 from interstate or $2,000 from overseas).
Successful international applicants will also be awarded a faculty tuition paying scholarship.
Application Process for the Co-funded Monash Graduate Scholarship 2026
- Application for graduate research scholarships is done at the time of applying for your course, unless you are already enrolled.
- Whether you are a new or current student, the same application process is used for both admission and/or scholarship via our Applicant Portal.
- You do not need to specify which scholarship you are applying as you are automatically considered for all graduate research scholarships (where eligible).
