What You’ll Be Doing
As an Algo Dev, you’ll work closely with senior developers and traders to design and optimize next-gen trading systems. Your work will include:
- Building fast, reliable exchange integrations in Rust
- Designing monitoring tools for performance, system health, and global uptime
- Improving and tuning systems to stay ahead of shifting market conditions
- Developing low-latency, concurrent systems for real-time trading
- Sharing insights from exchange behavior to help traders refine strategies
At BlackBird, developers also use the tools they build — giving you hands-on experience and a deep understanding of market challenges.
What They’re Looking For
- A degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or any quantitative field
- Strong programming skills with low-level system knowledge
- Experience (work or personal projects) in C++, Rust, Java, or similar
- Bonus: Python, SQL, Rust experience, or interest in crypto/financial markets
