Written by The Fegho Umunubo Foundation has opened applications for the second cohort of its Grassroots Creative Business Support Initiative (GCBSI 2.0), offering grants of ₦1 million to ₦1.5 million to eligible creative entrepreneurs and businesses across Nigeria.
The programme combines financial support with business development training and practical assistance to help creative businesses improve their operations, manage their finances and attract more customers.
Applications opened on October 1, 2026, and will close on November 1, 2026.
What beneficiaries will receive
Successful applicants will receive:
* Business grants: Funding ranging from ₦1 million to ₦1.5 million.
* Business training: Practical sessions covering marketing, bookkeeping, pricing and financial literacy.
* Business support: Guidance to strengthen business operations, improve customer reach and build a more sustainable venture.
The second cohort builds on the programme’s first edition, which supported 22 businesses with grants ranging from ₦500,000 to ₦1 million in February 2026.
Who can apply?
The initiative is open to creative entrepreneurs and businesses in Nigeria. Eligible sectors include:
* Media, film and entertainment
* Fashion, clothing, textiles and fashion accessories
* Handmade products, arts and crafts
* Furniture, interior design and creative design
* Beauty and personal styling
* Photography, videography, printing and visual branding
* Food production, baking and creative confectionery
* Home fragrance businesses.
The application form requests the applicant’s name, phone number, email address, business name, CAC registration number, state of operation and how long the business has been running. This indicates that applicants should have their business registration details available when applying.
