The Africa-China Intern will join Development Reimagined’s China-Africa team and support research, policy, programme, client and communications-related work. The role is remote, requires a minimum commitment of six months and involves 16 hours of work per week.
Internship Responsibilities And Activities
The intern will work across assignments linked to Africa-China relations and global development. Responsibilities and activities may include:
- Contributing to research, policy and programme work relating to Africa-China relations.
- Supporting client strategy and the development of recommendations.
- Contributing to research reports and policy analysis.
- Conducting literature reviews to support research and project deliverables.
- Participating in interviews with executives, government officials and thought leaders when assigned.
- Supporting the preparation of client reports and presentations.
- Assisting with event hosting and event organisation.
- Supporting marketing activities connected to the consultancy’s work.
- Collaborating with Development Reimagined experts on articles and other published work.
These activities require interns to work collaboratively with staff members, understand research assignments and contribute to written and analytical outputs. Assignments will be determined by the needs of the China-Africa team and the projects to which the intern is assigned.
