About the Program
The SIAT Group Graduate Trainee Program is a structured, hands-on development initiative aimed at nurturing high-potential graduates. The program focuses on building leadership capacity, operational expertise, and strategic thinking within the agricultural and agro-industrial sectors.
Participants will undergo practical training across plantations, mills, and corporate functions, gaining real-world exposure within a multinational agro-industrial environment.
The program is designed to:
- Develop technical and managerial competencies
- Build leadership skills in agro-industrial operations
- Prepare participants for long-term careers in agriculture and edible oil production
- Strengthen operational excellence across SIAT Group businesses
Training Locations
Selected trainees will be deployed across SIAT Group’s operations, including:
- Presco Plc, Edo State, Nigeria
- SIAT Nigeria Limited, Rivers State, Nigeria
- Ghana Oil Palm Development Company (GOPDC), Eastern Region, Ghana
- Saro Oil Palm, Edo State, Nigeria
Candidates must be willing to work and reside in remote rural locations where operations are based.
Who Should Apply?
The program is open to graduates aged 26 years or younger (born in 2000 or after) who possess strong academic backgrounds and are interested in building careers in agriculture, engineering, business, and related fields.
Eligible disciplines include:
- Agriculture, Agronomy, or Agricultural Engineering
- Engineering (all relevant fields)
- Environmental or Social Sciences
- Finance or Accounting
- Sales and Marketing
- Supply Chain, Inventory, or Logistics
- Business Administration, Human Resources, IT, or Data Analytics
Eligibility Criteria
To apply, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Be 26 years old or younger (born in 2000 or after)
- Hold a BSc, BEng, BTech, or higher degree from a recognized and accredited local or foreign university
- Have a minimum of Second Class Upper (2:1)
- Have completed National Service (NYSC or equivalent) and possess a valid discharge certificate
- Be computer literate
- Be in good physical health
- Be willing to work and live in remote rural areas
Only candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will proceed to the next stage of the selection process.
Selection Process
Applicants who meet the criteria will be contacted for further evaluation, which includes:
- General aptitude tests
- Role-specific aptitude assessments
- Interviews
The selection process is designed to assess technical capability, leadership potential, and suitability for operational roles within SIAT Group.
