What the Laptop Scholarship Is About
The She Code Africa Laptop Scholarship provides brand-new laptops to women and girls in Africa who are building skills or careers in technology but lack access to a personal computer — a key tool for learning coding, data science, software development, digital design, and other tech skills.
The initiative supports the organisation’s mission to ensure women are equally represented and empowered in the tech ecosystem across the continent.
Who Is Eligible
To be considered for the She Code Africa Laptop Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a female applicant passionate about technology.
- Be an active member of the She Code Africa community (register via shecodeafrica.org/community).
- Have already begun a learning or career journey in tech.
- Not currently own a working laptop.
- Be available to receive the laptop in person, usually in Lagos, Nigeria.
Women and girls who meet these criteria and want to advance their tech careers are strongly encouraged to apply.
What You Will Receive
