Fully Funded PhD Position – Wearable Robotics

Fully Funded PhD Position – Wearable Robotics 🎊

I’m looking for a PhD student to join my research group at Kennesaw State University, with a planned start in Fall 2026.

In the lab, we work on wearable and assistive robotic systems, with a focus on problems that connect control, hardware, and human–robot interaction. A lot of our work involves building and testing real systems—wearable robots, actuators, and sensors—and learning through experiments, along with modeling and simulation.

I’m happy to work with students from different backgrounds. You don’t need to have experience in everything listed in a typical robotics posting. What matters most is a solid foundation, curiosity, and interest in developing one area in depth, whether that’s control and robotics, hardware and experiments, or learning-based methods.

If you’re interested in hands-on system development and understanding system behavior through modeling, simulation, and experiments, this could be a good match.
👏 👏 👏 Feel free to reach out if you think your background aligns with the work. 👏 👏 👏

To get in touch, please send your CV and a short research statement to szhang23@kennesaw.edu
