The Egbe Omo Yoruba of Greater Miami Valley in the USA is delighted to announce the commencement of the 2025 Scholarship Awards for students enrolled in Nigerian Universities and Polytechnics.
The Egbe Omo Yoruba Scholarship, established in 1993, reflects the organization’s dedication to the educational advancement of Nigerian students.
The scholarship is open for applications, and deserving students will be selected as awardees.
Egbe Omo Yoruba Scholarship Benefits
- Each awardee will receive the Naira equivalent of US dollars of $250 at the time of the award.
Requirements for Egbe Omo Yoruba Scholarship
- Must be attending an accredited University/Polytechnic in Nigeria.
- Must have cumulative GPA of at least 3.0/4.0 or 3.75/5.0 scale.
- Must provide the following information:
- The name of the University/Polytechnic
- The City & State in which the University/Polytechnic is located
- Full Name as it appears in your University/Polytechnic record
- Transcript to proof educational performance
- Your Major
- Year Level
- Cumulative GPA
- Must demonstrate financial need via a written statement (short essay) submitted in support of application.
- Must submit a letter of recommendation from an academic staff with close knowledge of the student’s performance and character. He/she must sign the recommendation letter. Unsigned, fake, AI generated & cut paste signature(s) will be rejected.
Selection Process
The Egbe Omo Yoruba Scholarship employs a comprehensive selection process to ensure deserving students receive the support they need:
- Initial Application Review: All submitted applications and supporting documents will undergo a thorough review.
- Zoom Interviews: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for virtual interviews via Zoom conducted by the scholarship committee.
- Final Selection: The scholarship committee will make the final selection based on the candidates’ academic achievements, financial need, and recommendations.
