Job Summary
- We are recruiting for the role of a Hospital Matron, who will be responsible for overseeing nursing care and services within the hospital.
- The Matron oversees nursing staff and ensures the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. This role includes leadership, supervision, staff development, and ensuring adherence to clinical and administrative standards.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Supervision:
- Provide direct supervision and mentorship to all nursing staff.
- Ensure nursing duties are performed effectively and compassionately.
- Act as a liaison between nurses, doctors, and hospital management.
- Quality of Care
- Monitor and maintain high standards of patient care.
- Ensure compliance with medical protocols and hygiene standards.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and support crisis resolution.
- Prepare and manage nursing rosters and schedules.
- Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping.
- Support orientation and training of new nurses.
- Recommend staff for training and professional development.
- Address performance issues and provide feedback as needed.
- Ensure nursing practices comply with hospital policies and regulatory guidelines.

Required skills and qualifications
- BNSC qualification with valid license.
- Minimum of 10 years of post-qualification experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle emergencies calmly and effectively.
