meta4.0 is a 2-year Master’s programme fully taught in English and jointly offered by 6 universities in France, Slovenia, Norway, Germany and Italy with one primary objective, facing the future challenges of Manufacturing 4.0 by educating a new generation of students to a level of excellence in:

  • Digital Manufacturing / Clean Manufacturing / Sustainable Manufacturing / Smart Manufacturing

meta4.0 innovatively combines theoretical and applied courses with labs and internships in a multidisciplinary environment.

The programme has been precisely structured to cover during the first year the fundamentals on manufacturing technologies in France and then materials science and engineering in Italy in order to fit the graduates with strong mandatory basis.

You will be proposed 4 specializations during the second year and will be able to study in Norway, Slovenia, France or Germany.

Graduated from meta4.0, you will become a highly qualified engineering or scientific staff, in a public or a private sector, trained on key topics such as digitalization, sustainability or advanced manufacturing.

Criteria

  • The Scholarship is open to all Nationals.
  • To be eligible, applicants must hold a Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree in Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, or potentially Mechatronics.
  • Applicants in their final year of a Bachelor’s or equivalent program may apply conditionally but must graduate before July 31st, 2026.
IELTS/TOEFL Exemption for the 2026/28 Erasmus Mundus META4.0 Scholarship

Applicants who completed their studies in English at a university from one of the listed countries may apply without a language test but must provide an official letter confirming their English proficiency.
